Dear Parents of G 7 Students,

Sagesse High School is organizing ski trip to Faraya for G 7 students on March 26, 2012. The students will be accompanied by Mr. David Haykal, Mr. Labib Waked and Mr. Omar Mechleb.
However, it is worth mentioning that the parents assume responsibility for their daughter /son in case of any unsafe or inappropriate conduct of the students throughout this trip.

Students will leave SHS by bus on Monday 26 March, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. and will return to school at 5:00 p.m.

The fee for the trip per person is $ 90. It includes full day fees, buffet, transportation to and from the skiing resort, skiing equipment, access to ski slopes etc.

If the weather is not good on the assigned day of the trip, then the trip will be postponed to a later date.

Parents who wish to register their daughter/son are kindly asked to fill in the return slip and personally submit it to the accounting office, by Thursday, March 22, 2012 with the required amount of money.

Students will leave SHS by bus on Monday 12 March, 2012 at 3:45 p.m. and will return to school on Tuesday 13 March, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

The fee for the trip per person is $150. It includes full accommodation, transportation to and from the skiing resort, skiing equipment, access to ski slopes etc.

A copy of the detailed schedule is on the second page. It is worth mentioning that if the weather is not good on the assigned days of the trip, then the trip will be postponed to a later date.

1. The midyear exams start on Monday Feb.6, 2012 and ends on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
2. Thursday, Feb. 2, Friday, Feb.3, Tuesday, Feb.7, and Thursday Feb. 9, 2012 are reading days.
3. Monday, Jan. 30, Tuesday, Jan. 31, and Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 are in-school revision days. No new material will be given to the students. Students prepare questions on each subject and discuss them with their teachers.
4. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012 is a day off only for Grade 7 AP students.
5. Students are allowed to leave school when they finish their exams. If your son/daughter leaves by bus, you may provide transportation on those days, or they stay in school and leave by bus at 2:45 p.m.

Dear Parents,

 

To minimize the loss of items, you are kindly requested to make sure that your son/daughter writes his/her name on his books, notebooks, calculators and other belongings.

It is also advisable that you have the name of your son/daughter embroidered on the uniform, blazer and raincoat as well as a tag on the school bag for easy identification.

All students are expected to keep all their belongings in their lockers. Students must not leave any books or other belongings in the desks. Lost and found items are kept in Mr. David Haykal’s office and students may refer to him for this matter.

It is worth mentioning that all students have been provided with lockers and the school will not be responsible for any forgotten or misplaced item.

Dear Parents of Intermediate & Secondary Students,

Kindly take note of the following:

 

Parents are expected to call the school, between 7:30 and 7:50 a.m., when their son/daughter is sick and is not coming to school or is going to be late due to unexpected or uncontrollable reasons.

All students must arrive to school in the morning by 7:30 a.m. Classes start at 7:40 a.m. sharp.

 

Parents are expected to make sure that the taxi, private bus, or other means of private transportation picks up their children in due time to make sure that they arrive to school by 7:30 a.m. regardless of the distance to be covered, rain or bad weather, or traffic jams.

 

Any student who arrives late in the morning:

 

- will not attend class during the first period and will be held responsible for any material  explained by the teacher. In addition, the student will be given a zero on any quiz or test scheduled during the first period.
- will be allowed to join his class during the second period.

 

If tardiness in the morning is repeated more severe measures will be taken including

sending the student back home.

CIRCULAR IB & AP No 20 /AY 11-12
November 30, 2011

Dear Parents,
This is to inform you that the SHS basketball team will be playing against Mont La Salle on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Mont La Salle between 4:30 and 6:30p.m.
Secondary and Intermediate students who wish to watch the game and support the SHS team are asked to wear green pullovers or jackets on that day and should remain at school after 2:45 p.m.  Students may order food to be delivered between 3:10 and 4:00 p.m. but are not allowed to leave school premises to buy food.
Students who do not submit the signed return slip to the floor supervisor will not be allowed to watch the game and will be asked to go home at 2:45 p.m.
Students will be supervised by SHS staff members from 2:45 p.m. and throughout the whole event.
Parents are kindly requested to provide transportation or pick-up their daughter/son from Mont La Salle at 6:30 p.m.
Please fill in the return slip and have your daughter/son return it to the floor supervisor by Thursday, December 1, 2011.

Dear Parents/Guardians of the Intermediate Division Students,

I would like to remind you that Cellular Phones, CD players, MP3, MP4, IPODS, cameras, and other electronic devices, as well as magazines that are not relevant to the academic program of your children, are strictly prohibited at school.

Moreover, the school will not be held responsible for any loss or theft of the above mentioned items.

If any of the above items is found with any student, it will be confiscated, the first time for 15 days. The second time it will be confiscated for 30 days, and in case it is repeated for a third time, it will be confiscated till the end of the year.

I count on your support and your full cooperation in the implementation of the school rules and regulations.
