Dear Mothers,

You are cordially invited to attend Mother's Day celebration on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 in block A auditorium.

The schedule is as follows:
Grade 1 at 9:00am
Grade 2 at 11:00am
Grade 3 at 1:00pm

The students will leave with their mothers after the show.

The students must wear the school official uniform:

Grey SHS skirt for ladies – Grey SHS trousers for gentlemen

Dear Parents,

 

Head lice are a common reoccurring problem every year. It can spread rapidly if left unchecked. Please you must screen your children regularly.  By early detection, we may limit its spread.
Head lice should be suspected when there is intense itching and scratching of the scalp and the back of the neck. Head lice are common and not indicative of poor hygiene.

We will be celebrating Saint Barbara on Friday, December 2, 2011.  Our celebrations will include costume parties. Our students will attend a play about Saint Barbara’s life at school.
Students have to come in disguise to school on that day.

Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the 2011-2012 Academic School Year!
Supplies Needed for Lower Elementary Students
Back pack or school bag
Pencils (4)/eraser/ ruler/sharpener/ glue stick/ 1 pair of scissors/ plastic files (4)/ 1 pack of crayons/ 1 pack of coloring pencils/ 1 pack of felt pencils/sketch book/ copybook plastic covers (10)
Plastic or laminated covers on all books – Student's name on the outside of each book
Water thermos (gourde) marked with student's name
All garments have to be clearly marked with the child’s full name or initials
Box of personal wipes
1 bottle of antiseptic hand gel

Some General Suggestions for Parents and Guardians to Follow

• Boys' hair must be short.
• Girls' long hair must be pulled back into pony tails or braids.
• Regularly washed hair will also prevent the spread of head lice.
• Daily showers / baths and clean uniforms are a must!
• Children's nails must be always short and clean.
• No jewelry, make-up, nail polish, and toys are allowed at school.
•  Summer Uniform: SHS short sleeved

Grey SHS skirt or school jeans for ladies – Grey trousers or school jeans for gentlemen.
Navy socks and black/ navy shoes.
Summer Sports Uniform: SHS shorts and T-shirt athletic shoes.

If your child has a contagious illness such as chicken pox, measles or mumps, please keep him/her home until he/she recovers. Children with fever should be kept at home to limit the spread of disease. Please report a student's absence to the head of division's office as soon as possible.

All circulars and homework assignments sent to parents will be posted on the website.

Children should arrive at school between 7:25 am. and 7: 35 am. and should be collected at 2:45 pm. sharp. The school is responsible for your child from 7:20 am. until 2:55 pm.

Please feel free at any time to make an appointment to discuss any issue or concern that you may have regarding your son or daughter. My office hours are every day from 8:00am until 9:00am and 2:00am until 2:45pm.
